\nWrite your quotations out and put them on the wall where you can see them tonight before you go to sleep. Try to go to bed at a reasonable time and get a good night's sleep, have a good breakfast and get to school with time to spare so that you can take time to gather your thoughts at school before going into the exam.

It's so important to ensure that you are well rested.

\nWhen I used go into my exams, the first thing I'd do was write down anything that I was worried I'd forget: quotations, key words or ideas. Then I'd go and suss out the questions without the fear that all of the important info would vanish!

In order to receive the support you are entitled to, you must arrange a lunch time slot to meet me in so that I can help you with your work. These sessions are not to be seen as a one-off; I am prepared to see each of you once a week in order to provide you with extra support.

\nNow for homework deadlines. Firstly, I would like to see a draft of your Specialist Study by Thursday of next week (10th March). If you can hand it in earlier than that - fantastic.

\nSecondly, I would like the next draft of your creative writing piece(s) handed in to me by next Thursday. This piece of work should already be well underway and you are actually getting an extra week to work on your writing as you should have brought it to today's tutorial for discussion.

\nAlthough we have only been concentrating on one piece of writing so far, you should also be thinking about your second piece. Have a look at the Creative Writing exemplars and information that Ms Sutherland has posted on the site, to help you.
